FDA-approved GLP-1 weight loss, supervised by NJ clinicians.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist — the medication class behind FDA-approved brands like Wegovy® (chronic weight management) and Ozempic® (type 2 diabetes). At True Heal Wellness it is prescribed and supervised by licensed New Jersey clinicians as part of a structured, medically monitored program — not a one-off injection.
How the program works
From your first visit, everything is provider-led and built around your health history:
- A consultation and full medical history to confirm semaglutide is appropriate for you
- Baseline lab work and vitals, with ongoing monitoring
- FDA-approved medication prescribed when clinically appropriate
- Gradual, supervised dose titration to manage side effects
- Regular provider check-ins plus nutrition and lifestyle support
Who it's for
Semaglutide programs are generally for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes, who have struggled to lose weight with diet and exercise alone. A clinical evaluation determines whether you qualify.
Who should not take semaglutide
Semaglutide is not appropriate for everyone. It should not be used by people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN 2, a history of pancreatitis, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain gastrointestinal conditions. Your provider reviews your history before prescribing.
What results are realistic
In clinical trials of branded semaglutide, participants lost on average around 15% of body weight over 68 weeks when the medication was combined with diet and exercise. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed — your outcome depends on dose, adherence, and lifestyle change.
Branded vs. compounded semaglutide
Wegovy® and Ozempic® are FDA-approved, brand-name semaglutide. Compounded semaglutide is not an FDA-approved product and is not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Our program prioritizes FDA-approved branded medication; any compounded option is an individualized clinical decision made by your provider for a specific patient, never marketed as identical to or interchangeable with the brand.
